Deana Saukam is a communications professional, cross-cultural ambassador and world traveler. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas, lived in Paris, France, and when she is not traveling the globe, she divides her time between Los Angeles and Austin. Her experience includes food and travel writing and photography, owning and operating restaurants, managing chefs, public relations, social media, and events. Her interests include food, travel, shopping, art, architecture, dining, and one-of-a-kind experiences. In one word: adventure. As an avid traveler, Deana never misses an opportunity to immerse herself into a destination and all it has to offer. Her travels have led to rich culinary experiences that rival many top chefs. Deana has been invited to share her influential food and travel adventures through Instagram “take-overs” for Williams-Sonoma, Food Republic and National Geographic, among others. Deana was a keynote speaker at the Texas Women’s Conference in 2015 on social media, branding and marketing, and was also awarded an “Asian Image Award” from the Asian American Resource Center which honoring inspiring and creative entrepreneurs in the Austin Asian community. Southern Living, Tribeza and StyleCaster’s have all named Deana one of the “Austin’s Most Stylish.”
